View Full Version : Anyone else playing Star Wars Galaxies?
Been playing the game for about 4 days now. Goose and Bitt are playing - I think Kong is still playing on a different server.
Graphics are great. Lag is about 1/5 of that on AC2. And no I didnt post this in MMORP forum because most MMORP are ghey.

I'm liking it!! Takes a long time to get up to the point where you can do things good.. but they didn't want to make it too easy so that way it'll last for years! instead of weeks

Some weird player named Lud keeps sending me notes that I need to buy it and start playing. I'm not going to say it doesn't look cool, but I feel dirty paying per month to play a game....
edit - esp. when I can't even be a damn jedi and choke people.

Played it at release had a Trandoshen TsK master on eclipse and a wookie chef/entertainer. Quit after I topped out in 2 weeks on 2 toons. Very little to do besides pvp once you master out and do any theme parks for you faction. PvP is lacking more than I'd like too. Even people overt would bitch for an hour after getting killed comming from a mission or if they lost faction enough to loose their rating.

I have the game. I get in the game. Have no idea what I'm doing. How U max out in 2 weeks? Seems impossible but what do I know. Gunny, it's 15 bucks a month.

It will take you months if not years to max out!! and you can become a jedi Vlad. Just takes time to unlock the force sensitive slot. And it's not the same way for two people!! Says it might take a player anywhere from 3 months to a year to finally find it!! BTW.. I did run into my first Dark Jedi on Dantooine the other night!! He sent his thugs after me and slayed me!!!

Finally beat Jedi Academy last night. End boss was easier than I thought it would be. But now, alas, I have no new game to play. If only I could think of something next to play......

The wife told me lastnight that I could re-start my AC1 account. but then I'd have to give up my DSL and go to that $9.95 a month dial up. Hmmm hard choice... not... I'm keeping the DSL.

How far are people as far as character progression? Anyone want to entertain the thought of having all of us consolidate on 1 server? Dunno who is where, but it may be better that way....
And what faction are people? I wanna shoot rebel scum....

If your all on tat run destroy missions for the imperials as a team, till you get your weapon skill up to around advance and then head out to the tuskan fort and join up with a team there, about 10 people can make a killing xp wise out there. Kinda sucks if your are melee though cause usualy unless you learn the spawn order, and stay on top of moving around, by time you get to them they are half dead from the range people.

I might would move to another server if we all would want to do that. I am up to a pistoleer on Bria though. Took a long time to get there. And I'm also real close to being a Creature Tamer But it's up to you guys. What we could do was start a server and then make our own guild hall!! Which is pretty kewl.

Ok...I'm probably leaving early today...gonna pick up SWG on the way home. Which server should I be joining? Right now I'm thinking Lowca just because there is a pretty big group on there from the Somethingawful.com forums, but let me know ifn's y'all want a different one.

If we go bria I already have a lot of money and build up so I can help everyone else out. Plus already have friends who we can go hunting with to get quick high XP.

The town pictures you sent me are pretty similar to all the other "towns" I have seen. Bitt has a couple houses. I even have a house to drop stuff off in.
Bitter has been on the server for four months and has two accounts on it.
Ive been playing this game for 6 days. It does get easier once you know what the hell you are doing.
Besides I dont play well with others I dont know.
