You've never tried a MMO community game. There is no other genre like it. Be it Sci-fi based, fantasy, comics, war, whatever. It is a trip to be playing a game and being in another world. You can ru across thousands of people in a session, get neck deep in the economy, meet people from all over the world or 3 miles away, all while playing a constantly updated game.

$13 a month for anywhere from 4 hours to 100+ is a great deal. $9 for a 2 hours movie? $3 for a rental? $20 for a new hardback? All good, but not as price-efficient.

Plus, you can't argue with monthly (sometimes weekly) content being added, bugs fixed, new things to do, engine upgrades... etc.

Everyone should try a MMO at least once. It is very different, and I havn't met anyone who hasn't at least been able to say they enjoyed it at least a little.

i played evar crack for like 2 months........and the realm and some other one that escapes me right now...they were fun but i couldnt justify paying a monthly fee for them ....... money spent better somewhere else

If you have to justify $13 you have no business in a spendy hobby like pc gaming.

I have three, (3), tres, III kids..... If I spend it it better have a good reason....... and I dont have the time normaly to invest in a "leveling" game....

A) You shouldn't have had kids. Bad move. Better off with a scent-marking cat and $5000 leather couch. Or adopt Bean and Jimbo.

B) You should sell all your PC gear, and go buy books and new shoes for your chillens. Even thinking about depriving them of $13 worth of fast food and cable-tv channels is evil. You bad-bad man.
