Thing your crap as sound system for your comp. is kool listen to this my comp. is ired to my fathers stereo system: 2 Linn Keilidhs custom speakers $5000 a piece and an a Rotel amp the size of a small vw bug. The only problem is if I use the awp the neighbors might call the police to report gun fire.

GO FOR IT CYPHER! When I play with my Top of the Line Creative speakers and a BOSE subwoofer at 1:00 AM and all you hear is "FIRE IN THE HOLE" "BANG BANG BOOOM" "BANG!!!! ENEMY DOWN" I see 2 cop cars pass by =D It's funny, they come and see that it's the computer and go outside mumbling damn kids.
You guys should use headphones =)
Not only does it not piss off everyone around you, but it helps your game a lot too since you can actually hear the sounds much more crisper and you can hear all the little details you need to hear.
I sometimes just use the pretty nice speakers that came with my stereo system but I noticed that when I use my headphones I do a lot better since I can hear every footstep i should hear and can tell which side they come from each time.

Dude you guys are so freakin lucky. I can't find headphones that work for my speakers. I don't have sub woofers and other things. On the bad side i have 5 birds that barely shut their beaks for 5 minutes. It also smells like bird crap in my computer room. So i guess many factors come in when it comes to me sucky badly.

Hey guys, I was just curious on a few things.
1) Can a subwoofer be hooked up to 2 existing speakers, and then be used with headphones??
2) Is it worth the money to buy a subwoofer?
3) Where should I start looking for one, and how much? (I'm thinking about a 3 piece set if #1 turns out to be false, 2 speakers and a sub)
THANKS!

well I dunno about number 1 but for number 2, I have digital speakers so It was easy to replace my cheap creative speaker with a bose subwoofer =D oh and it's definitly worth the money to buy a subwoofer!!! If you like House, it's worth it.
For number 3, try some aztec lansing, I used them for a while and they're pretty good. try the AC533, only $35, it comes with 3 components, 2 speakers and a subwoofer, but it's analog so sound isn't that great. Well up to a certain volume that is. With Digital I can crank my speakers and it won't crack, but analog does. Pratially due to my bose subwoofer =D<br clear=all>
